Undokai! (Annual sports day)

Every year Japanese public schools hold a sport event, and here are the pictures from Deren's 'Undokai'....The first picture is the 'tama ire' basically the teams compete to see who can get the most balls into the net, this was the only game that the white team (that Deren was in) won at. The rest of the time, Deren missed his cue at the beginning of the race, and was way behind the other boys!
It was boiling hot and thankfully we got to relax and eat with another family, that Deren befriended at school.
